Seafood Restaurants In Brodick, East Coat of Isle of Arran, In Scotland
Creelers of Arran, Restaurants and Smokehouse
Creelers Restaurants on Arran was founded by Tim and Fran James, who run it personally. Tim also looks after the Arran Smokehouse and the sourcing of the seafood sold by the restaurants.
The Arran Smokehouse produces the highest quality smoked products and trades
separately under the name of Arran Smoked Products, selling through its shop,
by mail order and in selected retail.
The restaurant is called Creelers, the name originating from the fact that much of the shellfish is caught in creels, often from their own boat the Julie-Ann, in the seas around Arran. All the seafood is brought fresh to the restaurants daily, and other products are sold at Farmers Markets in Edinburgh as well.
Creelers Restaurant on the isle of Arran is situated in a small complex of buildings and retail outlets close to Brodick, the main town and ferry port of the island. It is
easy to find, just take the road to the north out of Brodick, towards Corrie, and about 1½ miles on, it is on the right
The emphasis at Creelers has always been on the provision of top quality, locally-caught
seafood. The smoked products come fresh from the smokehouse. Whilst specialising
in seafood, meat-eaters and vegetarians are well catered for using local venison
and organic vegetables and herbs grown on the island.
The restaurant has an informal bistro-style décor, and is known both on the island and far beyond,
both for its varied and exciting cuisine and for the friendly and attentive service.
